I purchased this wheel bearing hub assembly for an employee at my shop for his 2007 Dodge Ram 1500 4WD. His original wheel bearing had started making a terrible grinding noise going down the road; even at low speeds. He elected to go with the whole assembly, rather than just the bearing, as it is a huge time saver. It was for his front left wheel, which made finding this part much simpler. There are a lot of options depending on which wheel you are doing or if you have 4WD or 4 wheel ABS, so make sure to visually inspect your assembly before ordering. There's not a whole lot I can say about the product's "uniqueness", as it looks like most other bearing/hub assemblies. But when you take it out of the box, you can tell it is really well build. I could not see any defects in the metal or other materials, and I liked that the sensor and harness matched the OEM part exactly. When I handed it to the mechanic to put it in, he was surprised by how solid it felt. I purchased the Timken part because of the excellent track record I've had with them. They always seem to have great quality control with the bearings I've bought in the past. I've never once had a Timken product the didn't fit right or felt cheap. I could have spent a little less money for a generic/value product, but I would rather know that I have a quality part that will last years without having to worry about it. Bearings that are in constant use are one of those things you really do not want to skimp on.
